Do you celebrate 30.April or 1.May in your country? If yes, how? I'm very curious.
We do celebrate 30. April eve and call this day "witches". Actualy, we celebrate (in very mundane way) Beltine-one of celtic Fire Feasts, but we usually don't know it.
If I'm not mistaken it should be celebrated 1.May but because celtic day begins with twiglith celebration is held 30. April.
It's not official feast. We have holiday 1.May cause it's Labour day and something as Valentine's day.
"Witches" aren't only one reminiscence of celtic times in my country, but Czechs aren't aware of it, frequently. We have no clue from where the custom of throwing coins in to the wells, fountains, springs come from. Why we're celebrate Halloween, or why Lady Kotyz from lokal legend seems young sometimes, than old and why she has white horse. We even have armies in 3 hills. Needless to say, Celts had towns or forts on these hills...
I guess there are more celtic stuff, but I have no more time to think about them right now.
Happy Beltine to you all!
